Demolition, site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Coventry, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the demolition of a educational facility; and for the construction of a 6,000-square-foot educational facility.

The scope of work includes the complete demolition of the existing facility, including removal of the oil tanks and septic tank, as well as all associated site work and utility connections. The project also includes connection to the town-owned sewer system, construction of a new 6,000-square-foot facility, repaving of the parking areas, and backfilling of the site to create proper grades for ramps and access to the boat storage area. A gravel pathway to the lake is also included. The proposed building will be a slab-on-grade wood structure designed for year-round use, with conditioned portions for student and coach lounges and restroom facilities. A new propane tank will also be required. Submit a Cost Proposal using the provided Form with no substitutions. Bids must include SEEC Form 10, a Bidder Contract Compliance Monitoring Report, and bid security if over $50,000 (10% of bid). Set-aside requirements: at least 30% of the contract to certified Small Business Enterprises (SBEs) and at least 10% to certified Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs), which may be included in the 30% SBE requirement. The contractor is responsible for ensuring all selected S/MBEs are eligible and certified. The University reserves the right to modify the contract or waive any informality as needed. Pre-qualification requirements: Only eligible prequalified bidders may submit a bid. The lowest responsible bidder must provide financial documents within five business days if notified, demonstrating the ability to complete a project with a minimum value of at least $2,750,000.
