Minority, Women Owned and Labor Surplus Areas Businesses, it is the desire of the City of Tarpon Springs to encourage the participation of minority (MBE) and women-owned (WBE) and Labor Surplus Area business in this contract. While the City does not have any preference or set aside programs, in place, it is committed to a policy of equitable participation for these firms. If an offeror is considered for award, he/she may be asked to meet with City personnel so that the intended MBD/WBE/Labor Surplus participation can be formalized and included in the subsequent contract. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory one hundred percent (100%) contract performance and payment bond.
