Renovation of a water / sewer project in Whitehall, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
**As of March 25, 2026 this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Contract Term: 2 Years CR#: 2131412 Contract 1 -General Construction: Upgrades to the existing Village of Whitehall Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), located at 25 Riverside Drive, Whitehall, NY 12887. The upgrades include, but are not limited to, the installation of a new ultraviolet (UV) effluent disinfection system, construction of a new UV disinfection building, installation of multiple new WWTP process system bypass pipelines, various replacements of aging WWTP process piping and valves, installation of a new automatic effluent sampler, and installation of a new Parshall flume flow meter and metering manhole to replace the existing unit. The project specifications and plans provide detailed information regarding these upgrades. Work shall be substantially completed by September 16, 2027. Final restoration shall be completed and the project ready for final payment by March 16, 2028. This work will be awarded as two (2) contracts; Contract 1 - General Construction, and Contract 2 - Electrical Construction. The Bid will be received on a unit price sum basis, as depicted on the Bid Form. The Bid should not include sales and compensating use taxes on materials incorporated into the work. If the Bid is actually received by mail or by hand after the appointed time on the date specified it shall be rejected, notwithstanding that such Bid may have been placed in a mailbox or other mail receptacle regularly maintained by the United States Postal Service before such time, and ordinarily in sufficient time to have been delivered on time. The Village is not responsible for any delays to the bid receipt. The Bidder shall retain hard copies with original signatures of all documents submitted. Bid security in the amount of 5% of the Bid must accompany the Bid in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price. Bidders will also be required to furnish a Non-Collusive Affidavit. Village of Whitehall as Owner, reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the Bid received, or to reject any Bid without explanation.
