The Board of Education invites bids for Warwick Valley CSD Park Avenue masonry restoration and door replacement for a general construction contract. Bidding documents are available at specified locations. Sealed bids must be prepared as set forth in the instructions to bidders, enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and the title of the work. Each bidder must deposit with its bid security in an amount not less than five percent of the base bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the instructions to bidders. No bidder may withdraw its bid within forty-five days after the actual bid opening. The Board of Education reserves the right to waive any and all informalities or to reject any or all bids. The owner reserves the right to disqualify bidders for any material failure to comply with the instructions to bidders and supplementary instructions to bidders. Attention is called to the owner's sales tax exemption, employment conditions, minimum wage rates, and detailed requirements for the qualification of bidders, including bonding and insurance, financial statements, bank references, legal proceedings, a statement of surety's intent to issue performance and payment bonds, and a description of other completed projects of similar size and scope.
