The project consists of construction upgrades to the municipal wastewater treatment plant, including grit removal, sequencing batch reactor system, flow equalization, tertiary filtration, sludge handling system, and appurtenances as detailed in the contract documents. Separate bids will be received for Contract No. 2A - General Construction, which involves construction of a new grit removal system, sequencing batch reactors and blowers, equalization pumping system, tertiary filtration, on-site pump station, post-frame roofs, sludge handling system, associated pumping, piping, valves, and start-up. Bidders may submit bids for any or all schedules of work they are licensed to perform. Segments will be awarded separately per the divisions of work described. Bid alternates may be included as deemed in the Owner's best interest. Each bid must be submitted on the prescribed form with bid security, and the successful bidder will be required to furnish additional bonds as prescribed. All bidders and subcontractors must hold appropriate licenses as required by state, federal, and local law. Bids will not be accepted from those barred under General Municipal Law 5A-103-b. Purchases are exempt from sales tax, and exemption certificates will be provided on request. QA date - 1-28-2026 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
