Rockford Public Schools is seeking bids for firewall equipment and installation. Proposed systems must be configured and installed to serve the Owner’s needs across multiple instructional facilities. Bids must be submitted for the total project and include required details for each item as specified. Bids shall be made on unaltered bid forms, with all blank spaces filled in, and signed by a legal officer or agent authorized to bind the bidder to a contract. A pre-bid conference will be held including a review of the project, bid documents, and a site review, and attendance is highly encouraged for all contractors interested in bidding. Physically sealed bids must be received at the district office by the deadline and will be read aloud at a public opening. Faxed or electronically delivered bids will not be accepted. Bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid amount must accompany each base bid as either a Bid Bond or Certified Check. Selected Contractor(s) must provide a performance and payment bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the bid amount. Service providers must include their USF Service Provider Identification Number (SPIN) in the Bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids and to accept a bid, or portion thereof, by issuance of a purchase order within ninety calendar days following the bid opening. No bids may be withdrawn during this time without specific approval from the Owner.
