This contract consists of a base bid. The base bid involves milling, base repair, leveling course, manhole rim adjustments, and wearing course along various roads within Morrisville Borough. Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents online no later than seven (7) days prior to the date for receipt of bids. The roadway and quantities associated with the base bid and each alternate are more fully defined in Exhibits A, B and C of Section 01 22 00 Measurement and Payment. A nominal fee of 0.33% of the bid amount (up to $5,000) is assessed only to bidders who are awarded contracts. For bidders who are not the winning bid; there are absolutely no fees. Each bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check for not less than ten percent (10%) of the Bid amount payable to Morrisville Borough along with an Agreement of Surety certifying that the required Performance and Payment Bonds will be provided to the Bidder. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish proof of insurance and bonds for Performance, Payment, and Maintenance in such form as meets the approval of Morrisville Borough and having as security thereon such Surety company or companies as are approved by Morrisville Borough. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of the bids.
