Site work and new construction of a communication facility in Powhatan, Arkansas. Completed plans call for the construction of a communication facility; and for site work for a communication facility.
The Town of Powhatan has received a grant from the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management through the State Mitigation Grant Program for the installation of a tornado siren system. Sealed bids are requested for the purchase and installation of a single tornado warning system capable of delivering a minimum FEMA-recommended 70dB sound level throughout the primary coverage area. Each bid must be submitted on the prescribed bid form and accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, payable to the Town of Powhatan, Arkansas, in an amount not less than 5% of the bid. A performance and payment bond will not be required. The proposal and contracted work must adhere to applicable federal, state, city, and local ordinances and regulations. Bids with material omissions or irregularities may be rejected, as may any bid that fails to conform to the bidding requirements and contract documents. The owner reserves the right to waive irregularities, reject bids, and choose the most qualified bidder for the project. Small, minority, and women-owned business enterprises are encouraged to submit bids.
