Renovation of an educational facility in Alexander City, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Sealed proposals, in duplicate, from qualified general contractors will be received for renovations to Benjamin Russell High School. A cashier's check or bid bond payable to Alexander City Board of Education in an amount not less than five percent of the proposal, but not more than $10,000, must accompany each proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance as required in the bid documents will be required at contract signing. Contractors must provide evidence of proper licensing for the project classification. Digital copies of drawings and specifications are available from the Architect upon receipt of an Application for Bid, and hard copies can be purchased from Alabama Graphics. Bids must be submitted on forms furnished by the Architect or copies thereof. All bidders exceeding the state-established amounts must be licensed under Alabama law and must display the current General Contractor's License Number on the sealed envelope. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if it is in their best interest. EST FOR INFORMATION (RFl's) A. All RFl's must be numbered and made in writing to the Architect's email rfi@lathanassociates.com. Please include your name, company name and telephone number, so that we may respond appropriately. VERBAL RFI'S WILL NOT BE ANSWERED. ALL RFI'S MUST BE IN WRITING.
