Site work and new construction of a recreation facility in Winfield, Alabama. Completed plans call for the construction of a 20,774-square-foot, one-story above grade recreation facility.
Sealed proposals from qualified general contractors will be received for the construction of a new multi-purpose facility. Digital copies of drawings and specifications can be obtained from the architect upon application for bid, and contractors will then be placed on the official bidders list. Hard copies are available for purchase from Alabama Graphics. Addenda and other proposal information will be issued only to holders of drawings and specifications distributed by the architect and on the official bidders list. Release of contract documents does not imply acceptance of the bidder's qualifications. Bids from contractors not on the official bidders list may not be accepted or opened. Contractors and vendors who base their pricing on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk. Bids must be submitted on proposal forms provided by the architect, either with the original contract documents or by addendum. All bidders exceeding the amount established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under the provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and must display their current general contractor's license number on the outside of the sealed envelope. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the owner's judgment, the best interests of the owner will thereby be promoted. 23-128B
