Sealed proposals, in duplicate, from qualified general contractors are requested for the New Stadium and Support Facilities for Winfield City Schools, Package C: Softball Concessions. A cashier’s check or bid bond payable to the Winfield City Board of Education in an amount not less than five percent of the proposal, and not more than $10,000, is required with each proposal. Performance and payment bonds and evidence of insurance as specified in the bid documents will be required at the contract signing. Drawings and specifications can be viewed at Alabama Graphics Digital Plan Room. All contractors must provide evidence of proper licensing for this classification of work before receiving plans and specifications, showing all classifications, bid limits, license number, and expiration date. General contractors may obtain digital copies of drawings and specifications upon application and will then be placed on the official bidders list. Hard copies are available for purchase directly from Alabama Graphics. Addenda and proposal information will be issued only to holders of documents distributed by the architect and on the official bidders list. Bids must be submitted on proposal forms provided in the contract documents. Bidders exceeding the state licensing board limits must be licensed as per Alabama Code Title 34, Chapter 8. The current general contractor’s license number must be displayed on the outside of the sealed envelope. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors to promote its best interests.
