Demolition, site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Winfield, Alabama. Completed plans call for the demolition of a water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.
Principal work includes complete demolition of the existing sewer lift station, construction of a new sewer lift station (complete), electrical work, and concrete and masonry work. Bidders must deposit bid security as specified in the Information for Bidders. Attention is called to conditions of employment, minimum wage rates, Section 3, segregated facility, Section 109, and E.O. 11246. All federal guidelines must be met as the project uses federal funds, with partial funding through the Appalachian Regional Commission and Clean Water State Revolving Loan Funds. The owner reserves the right to waive informalities or reject any or all bids. No bidder may withdraw its bid within thirty days after the bid opening. There will be no Pre-Bid Meeting The Water Works and Sewer Board of the City of Winfield at 160 City Hall Street, Winfield, AL, 35594 Question Deadline 02/20/2026 No interpretation of the meaning of the plans, specification or other pre-bid documents will be made to any bidder orally. Every request for such interpretation should be in writing addressed to Utility Engineering Consultants, LLC. at 135 Gemini Circle, Suite 211 Homewood, Al 35209., or by email to rhawkins@uecllc.com, and to be given consideration must be received at least five (5) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids The location of the work as shown on the Project Location Map is on properties owned by the Water Works and Sewer Board of the City of Winfield
