Renovation of an educational facility in Ventura, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility.
Ventura Unified School District will receive sealed bids for Mound Elementary School Roofing Replacement (Bid No. E9-26). All bids must be made on the provided bid form and submitted electronically through the District's Secure Bids Vendor portal. The contract time is 60 days. Contractors should refer to the General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions, and General Requirements for information regarding milestones and liquidated damages. Prequalification of bidders is required, and MEP subcontractors must also be prequalified. All bidders must attend a mandatory Pre-Bid Conference. Bidders must be licensed contractors with a valid and active Class C39 - Roofing Contractor License. Bids must strictly conform to the Contract Documents and include a list of designated subcontractors. Bid security of at least 10% of the maximum bid amount is required. Successful bidders will be required to provide performance and payment bonds, insurance certificates, and to comply with prevailing wage laws. No bids may be withdrawn for 90 days after bid opening. Substitution requests must be submitted with the bid. All bonds must be issued by a California admitted surety. Additional requirements include compliance with DVBE Programs, submission of payroll records, and adherence to public works contractor registration laws.
