Demolition, site work, new construction, remodeling and renovation of a water / sewer project in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work involves replacement of process equipment, construction of new buildings and utility systems, installation of new electrical and control infrastructure, site and drainage improvements, and other associated tasks. Bids must be submitted electronically via the eProcurement Portal. Late responses will not be accepted. Question Submission Deadline:February 4, 2026, 4:30pm All questions shall be submitted through the e-Procurement Portal. A. Provide hazardous material abatement of existing conditions as indicated, in compliance with Federal, State and local regulatory agency requirements, and in compliance with the Contract Documents. The work includes the removal and disposal of building material containing asbestos containing material (ACM), lead-based paint (LBP) and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) from the subject buildings. B. The work shall consist of furnishing all plans, approvals, notifications, tools, labor, equipment, materials and supervision, employee training, medical monitoring, documentation and records, sampling and testing, and obtain permits and agreements necessary to remove and dispose of of all ACM, LBP and PCB-containing material that has been identified at the facility. The Contractor shall remove the hazardous building materials prior to performing any significant contract work that would disturb these areas. C. The following definitions shall be applicable to the work for this project: o "Owner" - Refers to the client and their designated authorized personnel. o "Engineer" - Refers to the engineer and their designated authorized personnel. o "General Contractor" - Refers to the contractor who has been awarded the overall project as outlined by the contract document. o "Asbestos Abatement Contractor" - Refers to the Contractor who is performing the asbestos removal work as specified herein. D. The Asbestos Abatement Contractor shall be responsible for providing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for performance of the work. In addition, the Asbestos Abatement Contractor shall be responsible for retaining all permits and/or notifications required for performance of the work and pay for all fees associated with such permits and notifications. The Asbestos Abatement Contractor shall remove and dispose of all asbestos-containing materials in accordance with local, state and federal regulations. A. Work Included: This Section specifies the following items: 1. Seeding. 2. Sodding. B. Related Work: The following items are not included in this Section and will be performed under the designated Sections: 1. Section 02100 - SITE PREPARATION; topsoil stripping and stockpiling. 2. Section 02300 - EARTHWORK; excavation, filling and backfilling, and rough grading. A. The Contractor shall provide all temporary facilities for the proper completion of the work, as required and as specified. 1. Section Includes: a. User Charges: (1) Sewer. (2) Water. (3) Electric. (4) Temporary heat. b. Project identification. c. Traffic regulation. d. Temporary Facilities: (1) Field offices and sheds (2) Office for Engineer (3) Equipment (4) Temporary Installation of One New Volute Press (5) Temporary Primary Sludge Pumping (6) Temporary Chemical Feed Systems (7) Additional Staging Area e. Operation, termination, and removal. A. This Section specifies general administrative and procedural requirements for warranties and bonds required by the Contract Documents, including manufacturer's standard warranties on products and special warranties. A. Furnish, place in operation, and field test standby diesel engine driven generator set, EPA Compliant, complete with enclosure, instrumentation and controls, and required supporting systems as specified herein. The unit shall be provided in an outdoor, weatherproof, walk-in, sound attenuated enclosure with an integral sub-base fuel storage tank with a capacity for 48 hours of standby operation. B. The unit shall have a minimum standby power rating as indicated on the contract drawings at 80 percent lagging power factor with 3-Phase, 60-Hertz, 480/277 Volt, 4-Wire, alternating current generator. C. The unit shall be arranged for automatic starting and stopping, and load transfer upon failure of the normal source of power through automatic transfer system integral to the low voltage switchboard provided under Section 16366. The engine generator set shall exhibit less than 20% voltage dip and less than 5% frequency dip during starting and operation of the loads identified in Attachment A to this Section. D. The generator shall include a second breaker for a portable load bank connection. This breaker shall be kirk-key interlocked to the main generator output circuit breaker such that only one breaker can be closed at any time. E. The engine-generator package shall be complete in all respects and shall include all equipment and controls necessary for a fully operational standby power supply system. F. A permanent radiator mounted load bank shall be provided within the walk-in enclosure. The load bank shall be a minimum 30% of the full kW rating of the generator @480VAC. The generator system with load bank shall be provided with automatic load control such that the generator is never underloaded or overloaded. PN-195113319, CS-330106-05 DACA5V75-B
