The intent of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to enter into a contract with a qualified contractor to provide Electrical Services for inspection, maintenance and repair of electrical lighting, power, and control systems for Lift Bridges, and various statewide bridges and Bridge Maintenance facilities. The Bureau of Bridge Maintenance is responsible for maintenance and repair of State owned bridges including four lift bridges in Portsmouth, Hampton, and Rye/Newcastle. The majority of the work under this contract will be on the lift bridges. The type of work may also, at times, require coordination with a Programmable Logic Controller System Contractor retained by the Department of Transportation under a separate contract. The Agency reserves the right to amend this RFP at its discretion, prior to the Proposal submission deadline. In the event of an addendum to this RFP, the Agency, at its sole discretion, may extend the Proposal submission deadline, as it deems appropriate. Proposals must be valid for one hundred and eighty (180) days following the deadline for submission of Proposals in Schedule of Events, or until the Effective Date of any resulting Contract, whichever is later. The term of the contract will be for a period from July1, 2026 through June 30, 2029. The contract established between the selected vendor and Agency will have a not-to-exceed amount of $180,000 ($60,000 per fiscal year). The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. Request for Proposal for design services is underway.
