Project scope includes preconstruction and construction services associated with the procurement and installation of HVAC units at six school sites within the District. Respondents must be properly licensed by the California Contractors State License Board (B or C-20) and registered with the Department of Industrial Relations as required by law. All General Contractors and Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing subcontractors (C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43, and C-46) shall be prequalified by the District in accordance with Public Contract Code section 20111.6 to be eligible to respond. The successful bidder and its subcontractors shall pay all workers on the Project no less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and for holiday and overtime work as determined by the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations, State of California, pursuant to sections 1770 et seq. of the California Labor Code. Bidders must comply with registration and compliance monitoring provisions of Labor Code section 1771.4, including furnishing CPRs to the Labor Commissioner, and be registered pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. Section 17076.11 of the Education Code requires contractors to have a participation goal for disabled veteran business enterprises (DVBE) of at least three percent (3%) per year for state-funded projects.
