Site work for a pre-engineered storage facility in Selkirk, Manitoba. Completed plans call for site work for a 97-square-foot, 0-story below grade pre-engineered storage facility.
Scope of work includes closure of the existing waste site involving cleanup of windblown litter, shaping existing waste material, and importing, spreading, and compacting clay cover material from borrow. Construction of a new Waste Transfer Station site includes clearing and grubbing, topsoil stripping, and importing clay material from borrow to build up the site. Works also include installation of approximately 7,000 m2 of Granular A-Base and C-Base for access roads and material storage compounds, construction of a ramp, retaining wall, guard rail, and concrete pads for roll-off bins. Supply and placement of five seacans for material storage, a used oil storage tank, and pre-cast jersey barriers for material separation. Provision and placement of a 6.1 m long attendant trailer with washroom and buried wastewater holding tank. Construction of a 97 m2 garage building with slab on grade concrete foundation and wood-frame construction. Installation of 510 m of chain link fencing with three gates, as well as signage, ditching, seeding, and related works. Instructions to bidders specify that sealed tenders are to be submitted at the office of JR Cousin Consultants Ltd. and that the lowest or any bid may not necessarily be accepted.
