The University of Oregon is seeking ongoing engineering, consulting, maintenance, and repair services for KWAX FM radio, including its main studio in Eugene and its network of three transmitter sites and eight translators. The required consulting services include strategic planning and design (covering design and equipment recommendations, feasibility studies, site assessments, system upgrades, and equipment requisition), preparation of site documentation and reports (including system schematics, FCC/FAA compliance, engineering studies, coverage maps, and inspection reports), project engineering planning and coordination with stakeholders, training and knowledge transfer for KWAX staff, and due diligence reviews for equipment and site readiness. Maintenance and technical services required include configuration, maintenance, diagnosis, and adjustment of all radio broadcasting, remote control, microwave STL, computers, and supporting equipment. This includes the installation and maintenance of studio controls, automation software, equipment upgrades, and wiring; as well as regular inspections and maintenance of towers and antennas, including painting, lighting, thermal surveys, structural repairs, adjustments, and feed line services. Coordination and supervision of vendors and suppliers at transmission sites is also required. Proposers are expected to expand upon the specifications to demonstrate their ability to perform the required services.
