The Town of Wayland is seeking quotes for removal of a utility pole and a replacement installation of a new Class H2 wood utility pole at a site situated on a town-owned property located off Campbell Road in Wayland. The estimated cost for this project is: $30,000. Any questions about this RFQ should be directed in writing to Neil McPherson, Fire Chief, by email to; nmcpherson@wayland.ma.us. All questions are to be received no later than Friday, January 2nd, 2026, 11:00AM ET. Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. The selected vendor shall provide all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to complete the following tasks: 1. Remove Existing Utility Pole o Remove one (1) existing 30-foot wooden utility pole. o An existing radio antenna is mounted at the top of the pole. o The antenna will be removed by others prior to pole removal. 2. Furnish Replacement Pole o Furnish and deliver one (1) Class H2 wood utility pole to the site. 3. Prepare Foundation / Drilled Shaft o Auger one (1) drilled shaft measuring 36 inches in diameter and 16 feet deep. 4. Install New Pole o Provide concrete backfill for the drilled shaft. o Set and level the new utility pole. o Complete all backfilling and compaction. 5. Antenna Reinstallation
