**As of February 5, 2026, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded nextweek** The work consists principally of planing (1”-2”), paving, striping, and traffic control markings on 31 streets within the City of Boaz. Drainage improvements on four of the streets are also included. Bids must be submitted on the forms included with the contract documents and specifications, which must be submitted in their entirety. Bidders must be properly qualified in accordance with all applicable laws of the State of Alabama, including holding a current license with specialty of HS (Highways & Streets) from the State Licensing Board for General Contractors, Montgomery, Alabama. Non-resident corporate bidders must show evidence of having qualified with the Secretary of State to do business in Alabama. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond of not less than five percent (5%) of the Bid, not to exceed $10,000. At the time of Contract signing, the successful bidder must furnish a certificate of insurance coverage as provided in the specifications and a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond equal to 100% of the Contract amount each, with a surety company acceptable to the Owner and in a form acceptable to the Owner. The Owner reserves the right after opening bids to reject any or all bids, to waive any technicality and/or informality (non-responsiveness) in a bid, or to make award to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder and reject all other bids as it may best serve the interest of the Owner.
