Site work for a water / sewer project in North Freedom, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Installation of wastewater siphon (depressed sewer) under the Baraboo River, including approximately 330 feet of twin 6-inch high density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe (660 linear feet total) installed by horizontal directional drilling (HDD) within a private easement. Installation of 110 feet of 8-inch PVC sanitary sewer and associated siphon inlet and outlet manholes. Construction of a gravel access drive within an existing sewer easement north of the bridge for access to the proposed siphon outlet manhole. Connection of new sanitary sewer to existing manholes. Installation of a flushing hydrant on the west side of the bridge near the siphon inlet manhole for convenient flushing and maintenance. Installation of a 4-inch sanitary lateral to service a future homeowner's development, as well as sewer abandonment and minor electrical demolition work. Bidders must submit a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the bid amount as a guarantee, to be forfeited if contract and bond are not executed within 15 days of award. No bid may be withdrawn within 60 days of opening. Minimum wages to be paid in accordance with Federal Davis Bacon Wage Rates, with the latest federal wage rate to be used at the time of bid opening. Participation by Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs), including Minority-owned Business Enterprises (MBEs), Women's Business Enterprises (WBEs), and Small Businesses in Rural Areas (SBRAs), is encouraged, with a combined minimum goal of 15% participation for MBE/WBE utilization. Contractors must conform to the "Use of American Iron and Steel" provision of H.R. 3547 Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2014, section 436.
