The City of Garland is soliciting proposals for the 2026 Sidewalk Program located in Garland, Texas. The construction Notice to Proceed is anticipated to be issued in January/February 2026 with a duration of 365 calendar days. A Bid Bond in the amount of 5% is required to be uploaded with your bid response. A Payment and Performance Bond is being requested for this project. Sec. 2253.021.(1) & (2) of the Local Government Code states that all public works contract in excess of $50,000.00 require a Payment Bond and all public works contracts above $100,000.00 require a Performance Bond. Payment and Performance bonding will be for 100% of the total awarded contract. A Maintenance Bond is being requested for this project. This ensures the Contractor will maintain and keep in good repair all work to be performed and done under the Contract for a period of two (2) years from the date of acceptance of the completed work by the City.
