Renovation of a medical facility in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
The project involves upgrading elevators in Buildings 1, 2, 5, 38, 135, and 137. The scope includes providing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete elevator modernization and associated work in compliance with applicable codes and standards. Tasks will include removal of existing elevator components, installation of new systems, testing, and commissioning to ensure full functionality and safety. Work must meet all regulatory requirements and specifications outlined in the contract documents. MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION: Between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. Requests for Information (RFIs) are due by January 22, 2026, at 1 PM Eastern, via email to ryan.crispin@va.gov. Late RFIs may not be accepted, and offerors are responsible of ensuring questions are received on time. Responses to RFIs will be provided in question-and-answer form via a posted amendment at www.sam.gov. The Contractor shall begin performance within 30 calendar days and complete it within 608 calendar days. Project Location: Tuscaloosa, AL VAMC - 3701 Loop Rd East, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404 Elevator upgrades in buildings 1, 2, 5, 38, 135, and 137.
