For the purposes of bonding, the engineer's estimate for the work is in the range of $9 to $10 million Bridge No. 22C-0003 crossing over Cache Creek on County Road (CR) 41 will be replaced with a new bridge approximately 400-foot long, three span, cast-in-place, prestressed concrete box girder structure with 24 feet of clear width between concrete barriers located west of the existing bridge along a new upstream alignment. The roadway will be approximately 220 feet long on the southern end of the bridge and approximately 620 feet long on the northern end of the bridge and oriented along a new bearing relative to the original alignment, so the new road intersects State Route 16 at a perpendicular angle. The new paved approach roadway width will be 24 feet to match the new bridge width, tapering to match the existing road north of the bridge. The new roadway consists of two 10-foot lanes and two 6-foot shoulders. The pier piles will be drilled between 100 and 120 feet below the existing ground surface (the maximum depth of ground disturbance during construction). Roadway construction will require imported borrow embankment material in order to raise the roadway approach. Creek bank excavation may also be required to remove the existing bridge approach fills and install new rock slope protection (RSP). *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
