Site work and new construction of a playground / park / athletic field in Bardwell, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field.
The project consists of constructing a new concessions, restrooms, and storage facility for the Barren County soccer field. The scope includes minor earthwork, site concrete, site utilities, concrete foundations, load-bearing masonry, roofing, doors and frames, canopies, countertops, and painting (as an alternate). All interior mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work is to be owner-furnished and owner-installed. Bidders are required to submit bids for the general contract covering all trades. Bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount is required. No bids may be withdrawn for 60 days after opening. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Bids not submitted on the proper form will not be considered. The successful bidder must furnish satisfactory Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds covering the base bid and any accepted alternates. Prevailing wage rates do not apply to this project. Work must begin upon receipt of the Notice to Proceed and be completed within the contract time, with liquidated damages applicable if not completed on time.
