Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope, plainly marked with the project name, and accompanied by a certified check or bid bond for ten percent (10%) of the bid, not exceeding $20,000. All bidders and their subcontractors must be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor as required by the Public Works Contractor Registration Act. Business Registration Certificates from the New Jersey Department of Treasury must also be provided prior to contract award. All bidders and subcontractors must comply with "The Law Against Discrimination" and Affirmative Action requirements. Bidders and/or subcontractors must be classified by NJDPMC in discipline C032 HVACR. Bids from those debarred, suspended, or disqualified by the State Treasurer or Federal Government will not be accepted. All bid forms must be used and every requirement in the instructions and specifications must be met. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder, subject to formal approval by the Board of Education, with the Board reserving rights to reject bids or waive informality if in its best interest.
