Site work for a development in Spirit Lake, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a conservation development.

The project is located on the shore of East Okoboji Lake at Isthmus Park and the Spirit Lake Fish Hatchery. Work includes tree and brush clearing, stump grinding in Isthmus Park, installation of 860 linear feet of coir logs along the shoreline, and placement of 222 tons of shoreline riprap armoring. Additional tasks include 1.5 acres of turf grass seeding, 1 acre of native seeding, and 2.5 acres of mulching. A NPDES Permit #2 and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) are required. Bidders must comply with all applicable public improvement procurement laws and related Iowa Code chapters. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount specified in the bidding documents. Electronic copies of bid security are accepted for electronic submissions, but the original must be mailed within five business days if awarded. Failure to execute a contract and provide a performance bond equal to 100% of the contract price and a certificate of liability insurance within thirty days of award will result in rescinding the award and forfeiture of the bid security. It shall be understood that the Contractor shall furnish all labor, material, tools, transportation, and supplies required for all or any part of the work to make each item complete in accordance with the spirit of the contract. It is understood that the apparent silence of the specifications as to any detail or the apparent omission of a detailed description concerning any point shall be regarded as meaning that only the best general practice is to prevail and that only materials and workmanship of the first quality are to be used.
