Site work for a development in Spirit Lake, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a development.
The ReedFarm Restoration project is designed to restore eight wetland pool areas on the Reed_Wildlife Management Unit Property near East Okoboji Lake in Dickinson County. Work includes wetland dike construction, excavation, tile manipulation, water control structure installation, erosion control, tree removal, and parking lot construction. Sealed bids will be received for the public improvement project. The subject line of emailed bids must state: Project Number - Project Location, and Bid Letting Date. The first page of the emailed attachment, or the first of multiple attachments, must be the bid proposal. Direct substitution requests, questions about the project, or questions concerning bidding and contract procedures must be emailed. These requests must be submitted with the subject line: Contractor Question - Project Number - Project Location. Each bidder must accompany the bid with a bid security as defined in Iowa code section 26.8. Copies of the bid security will be accepted for electronic submissions; the original must be mailed within five business days of the bid letting date. The bid security must be in the amount set forth in the bidding documents and made payable to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources. Failure to execute a contract for the proposed work and file an acceptable Performance Bond (equal to 100% of the contract price) and a certificate of liability insurance, within thirty days of the award, will be cause to rescind the award and forfeit the bid security. Bidders are encouraged to be familiar with public improvement procurement requirements and the bidding documents before submitting a bid. Bidders must comply with applicable laws, rules, and executive orders related to public construction bidding and improvements. Direct substitution requests, questions about the project, or questions concerning bidding and contract procedures to DNR Procurement. To be considered, these requests must be emailed to constructionbids@dnr.iowa.gov by April 17, 2026 4:30pm the Friday prior to bid letting with the following subject line: Contractor Question - Project Number - Project Location
