Clarifications requested by bidders must be in writing not less than 7 days before date set for receipt of bids. Sealed bids will be received for the construction of a pre-engineered building at Lakes Regional Healthcare, 2323 US-71 N, Spirit Lake, IA 51360. The project consists of furnishing the supplies, equipment, and/or services to construct a 48' by 60' pre-engineered wood framed building with an office and restroom. Bidders are required to provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the completion of this work as shown in the Contract Documents. Bid security in the amount of 5% of the total bid is required, and the successful bidder must provide surety Performance and Payment Bonds for 100% of the Contract Sum. Bids must be submitted using the provided Bid Form and are to remain irrevocable for thirty (30) days after submission. The award will be made to the bidder offering the lowest price with consideration to quality and service in the best interest of the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. Bidding documents may be obtained through Iowa Reprographics upon deposit, which will be refunded under specific conditions. Documents may also be viewed at designated plan rooms. Preference will be given to products and provisions grown and coal produced within the State of Iowa.
