Estimated project cost is $370,000 to 385,000. The work under this contract includes the installation of over 600 linear feet of 6-inch diameter Class 50 ductile iron water main, complete with the installation of new gate valves, permanent blow off assembly, and all required fittings, bends, tees, and appurtenances. It also includes the installation of a fire hydrant assembly, reconnection of five water services with pressure reducing valves, the abandonment of existing water main in-place, the installation, maintenance, and removal of temporary traffic control and erosion control measures, tree removal, rock excavation, and the removal and replacement of existing fences, landscaping, and gravel surfaces. Instructions to bidders include the following: Bids must be prepared and signed in ink by an authorized representative, submitted in a sealed envelope marked with the project name, and must be received on the prescribed City offer form. Bidders must be licensed by the Oregon Construction Contractor's Board or State Landscape Contractors Board as applicable. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, surety bond (bid bond), or irrevocable letter of credit for 10% of the total bid amount. The successful bidder is required to furnish a faithful performance bond and a labor and material payment bond each for 100% of the contract amount, show proof of a $30,000 public works bond filed with BOLI, and provide evidence of insurance, including workers' compensation. The City will determine the qualifications of the lowest responsive bidder before awarding the contract, and reserves the right to reject any bid not in compliance with bidding procedures or all bids for good cause.
