Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Lexington, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the construction of a 6,000-square-foot pre-engineered storage facility.
Question Deadline 02/06/2026 All requests for Addenda or Interpretations shall be in written form and shall be received by the Architect at least five (5) days prior to the bid opening. The project includes the construction of a new 6000 square foot pre-engineered storage building located within a new park project. This building will include one office and one restroom. The work also includes a new gravel yard, exterior concrete, and a fence around the graveled yard area. Proposals will be received for a Single Prime Bid contract, and all proposals will be lump sum. Bidders must have proper licenses as required under state laws governing their respective trades, specifically with a "building contractor" or "unclassified" classification as required by the North Carolina General Contractors Licensing Board. Each proposal must be accompanied by a deposit or bid bond equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the proposal. A performance bond and a payment bond will be required for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Payment will be made based on ninety-five percent (95%) of monthly estimates, with final payment upon completion and acceptance of the work. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty days. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. Prospective bidders must purchase contract documents through the designated provider to be considered an official planholder.
