The work includes the installation of 3,597 feet of new 8" PVCO Water Main, AWWA C909, PC 235 PSI with AWWA Class 53 Ductile Iron Fittings along Regent Road in the City of Wickliffe. The new watermain starts at the intersection with Worden Road and heads east to connect with an existing 8" water main along Truman Avenue. The new watermain will include 6" to 8" side road water connections. The project will also include installation of 9 new hydrants, 76 long side water service connections, and 15 short side water service connections and meter vaults. The existing 8" waterline, hydrant branches, and gate valves are to be abandoned. Sidewalk replacement and pavement restoration above the watermain, hydrant, and open cut service connections shall consist of either 1-1/2" of ODOT Item 441, Surface Course over 7-1/2" of ODOT 305 Concrete Base and minimum 6" of ODOT 304 Aggregate Base or 9" of Non-Reinforced Concrete Pavement of ODOT 451 and minimum 6" of ODOT 304. Concrete drive/apron work will be required as needed to install proposed water service connections and meter vaults. This work consists of locating, furnishing, installing, and maintaining temporary sediment and erosion control Best Management Practices (BMP) for earth disturbing activity areas, developing a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), performing Storm Water Pollution Prevention Inspections, filing a Co-Permittee form as required. Furnish a SWPPP if required prior to any earth disturbing activity. Furnish and install temporary sediment and erosion control BMPs in compliance with all National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) and surface water permits. Amend the SWPPP in accordance with the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (Ohio EPA) General Construction Stormwater NPDES Permit. In the event of conflict between these requirements and pollution control laws, rules, or regulations of other Federal, State, or local agencies, adhere to the more restrictive laws, rules, or regulations. Ground photography shall consist of color video taping of surface features taken along the entire length of the project and including all work and storage areas and all intersecting roadways. Prior to audio-video taping of the project, all areas to be inventoried shall be investigated visually with notations made of items not readily visible by taping methods. Audio-video tape shall be DVD format, as approved by the Owner.
