Renovation of an educational facility in Greencastle, Indiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
A. Summary Project Description: One-for-one replacement of an existing chiller serving the Ivy Tech Greencastle building. Scope of work to include replacement of the chiller unit, rigging, connections to existing piping, new controls integration into the BAS, testing, balancing, commissioning, and associated electrical work.. B. The Building will be partially occupied by the College and the Contractors will need to closely coordinate sequencing of construction with the academic calender and College operations. C. It is anticipated multiple crane picks will be required to accomplish the scope of work. Contractor fully responsible for cost and coordination with Crane company, Owner and City for pick plan, all permits, street closures, access, scheduling, etc. D. Contractor to subcontract roofing scope of work to a qualified roofing contractor responsible for maintaining owner's existing roof warranty. E. Contract Terms: Lump sum (fixed price, stipulated sum). The owner will enter into one contract with the successful General Contractor who will be fully responsible for coordination of all required work between all trades. The contract for this work shall include all labor, materials, and permits necessary to complete construction as indicated in the Construction Documents and Specified. Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana, will receive bids from contractors for the Greencastle Chiller Replacement project located at, 915 Zinc Mill Rd, Greencastle, IN 46135. The Owner intends to enter into one contract with the Contractor that submitted the lowest responsive and responsible bid and who will be fully responsible for coordination of all required work between all trades. Bidder questions are due by 12 PM EST on Jan. 19, 2026. All bidders are required to furnish Bid Security in the amount of ten (10%) of the base bid. All prices shall be free of all Federal Excise Taxes and State Sales Tax. The bid forms, Form 96, and other required documents related to the bid must be completed, signed and notarized where indicated. The owner reserves the right to reject all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities in the bid. Bids to shall remain firm for sixty (60) days from date of Bid Opening.
