Project consists of existing single-ply roof membrane overlay replacement as described in the bidding documents. Bids will be based on a lump sum construction contract. Bids shall include not less than the prevailing hourly wage rate determined by the Illinois Department of Labor. All Prime Contractor bidders are required to visit the project site prior to submitting a bid if not able to attend the pre-bid conference. Bid Security is required in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the proposal, made payable unconditionally to the Owner. Within ten (10) days after notification of award of contract, the successful Contractor shall furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of 100 percent of the contract. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities and irregularities in any bid, or to make awards in the best interests of the Owner.
