Description

Renovation of a municipal facility in Edwardsville, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Work must be performed by an Illinois Department of Public Health licensed asbestos abatement contractor. All personnel performing abatement are required to be licensed for asbestos abatement activities with the IDPH, and at least one individual must hold a supervisor's license. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at the project site. The contractor must pay no less than the prevailing rates of wages to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under the contract and comply with the requirements of the Illinois Wages of Employees on Public Works Act (820 ILSC 130/1-12). Upon award, the successful bidder must enter into a Project Labor Agreement with the Southwestern Illinois Building & Construction Trades Council, as specified in the proposal. The City of Edwardsville reserves the right to waive technicalities and to reject any or all proposals. The CITY OF EDWARDSVILLE is seeking sealed bids for the removal, abatement, and disposal of asbestos within the building located at 246 N. Main St. Edwardsville, IL 62025 as specified in the contract documents. All questions about the meaning or intent of the contract documents are to be submitted in writing through email bids@cityofedwardsville.com.
