Renovation of a mixed-use development in Louisville, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and educational facility.
Doss HS - Partial Roof Replacement - 7601 St Andrews Church Rd Louisville, KY 40214 This project consists of replacing 285 squares of roof in sections 4, 7, 9 and 10. Bidders are required to be present at the bid opening. Bid documents can be obtained from McCulloch Associates Inc, available at Lynn Imaging. Goals for participation are set at 15% for Minority Business Enterprises and 10% for Women Business Enterprises in all construction contracting. The right is reserved to accept any bid, reject any or all bids, or waive any informality in the bids received if it is in the best interest of the owner. 1. Remove existing roofing, roof insulation, gravel stops, fascia, and expansion joints completely to the structural deck. Remove roof ventilators, ductwork during reroofing. Do not split corners or turn up the counter flashing. 2. Inspect all Roof Drains, Gutters, Downspouts, and interior piping for leaks before demolition starts. Report any damage or leaks to the Owner and the Architect beforeroof installation. 3. Replace any deteriorated wood nailers, install new nailers (blocking), fascia, as necessary. Install new, or raise existing curbs, nailers, ducts, electric lines, etc., as necessary for a minimum height of 10" above the finish roof surface. 4. Following roof types are part of the scope of work: a. Type I - Non-Tapered 1) Existing Cement-Bound Wood Fiber Deck 2) Rosin Paper 3) Base sheet - nailed 4) 1 ply vapor retarder - glazed (temporary roof) 5) 2 layers of rigid insulation to achieve minimum LTTR 25 -- see specification section 07 22 00 Roof and Deck Insulation for further details. 6) Modified Base Sheet 7) Modified cap sheet with granule surface b. Type II - Tapered 1) Existing Concrete Deck 2) Primer 3) 2 Ply Mopped and glazed (temporary roof) 4) 2 layers of rigid insulation to achieve minimum LTTR 25 -- see specification section 07 22 00 Roof and Deck Insulation for further details. 5) Tapered insulation -- 1/4" per ft slope 6) Coverboard 7) Modified Base Sheet 8) Modified cap sheet with granule surface c. Type III - Tapered 1) Existing Cement-Bound Wood Fiber Deck 2) Rosin Paper 3) Base sheet - nailed 4) 1 ply vapor retarder - glazed (temporary roof) 5) 2 layers of rigid insulation to achieve minimum LTTR 25 -- see specification section 07 22 00 Roof and Deck Insulation for further details. 6) Tapered insulation -- 1/4" per ft slope 7) Coverboard 8) Modified Base Sheet 9) Modified cap sheet with granule surface 5. Install base flashing. Install a pressure bar at the top of all base flashing. Install leader heads, downspouts, scuppers, and counterflashing. 6. Reinstall ventilators, exhaust fans; make necessary mechanical and electrical connections. No roof flashing penetration (screws), or attachments of any kind at equipment curbs. 7. Leave roof, wall, site, etc., clean and in first class watertight condition at completion of work. 8. Grounds must be inspected, with use of metal detector, to remove all nails, metal scraps, etc. The date of substantial completion shall be August 3rd 2026+ The date of Final Completion shall be 30 consecutive calendar days after the Date of Substantial Completion.
