Renovation of an educational facility in Louisville, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Sealed bids are requested for furnishing all labor and materials and the performance of all work required for operable wall replacement at various schools in Louisville, Kentucky. Bidders must submit a properly signed proposal form with completed unit prices and a listing of all subcontractors at the time of submittal, as well as a manufacturer listing within one hour following the bid. Each bid must include a properly signed, witnessed, and executed bid security in the form of a Certified/Cashiers Check or Bid Bond, amounting to at least five percent of the bid, issued by a Surety Company rated "A-" or better by A.M. Best Company. Bids must also include a Minority, Women, and Veteran Business Enterprise Sub-contracting Plan, a Contractors Good Faith Effort Summary Sheet, Affidavit, and Supplemental Sheet, all properly completed, signed, and dated. Absence of any required document will result in automatic rejection of the bid. Bidders are required to hand deliver the sealed bid in appropriately labeled envelopes, with separate envelopes for the bid bond, participation documents, and the form of proposal, all placed in a single larger envelope labeled with the project name and submitting company. The contract will be awarded based on the lowest and best lump sum bid, or the lowest and best combination of individual bids, as deemed in the best interest of the Jefferson County Public Schools. All decisions regarding acceptance, rejection, or waiver of bids lie with the Owner.
