Description

Site work and renovation of a bridge / tunnel in Newport, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a bridge / tunnel.

The project consists of structural repairs to Abutment B and bearing rehabilitation for Trusses C and D of the Purple People Bridge. Work includes, but is not limited to, temporary support and jacking operations, selective removal of deteriorated material, reinforced concrete bearing reconstruction, installation of steel components, and related restoration work. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid, payable to the City of Newport, Kentucky, pursuant to the requirements of the Kentucky Revised Statutes (KRS). The City of Newport reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities, and to accept the bid deemed to be in the best interest of the City.
