The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and other miscellaneous items to provide a new traffic signal and illumination improvements, pedestrian signal improvements, roadway widening on the south leg of Bull Road, gravity irrigation system relocation, removal of existing sidewalk pavement and subgrade, construction of cement concrete curb, gutter, and sidewalk, construction of cement concrete curb ramps, construction of cement concrete driveways, planing of existing pavement, new HMA paving, installation of pavement markings, traffic control, and other miscellaneous items necessary to complete the project. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in a cashier's check or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent of the amount of each bid proposal. The successful bidder must enter into the contract and furnish a satisfactory performance bond within the time stated. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities or informalities. Responsibility and competency of bidders and their subcontractors will be considered in making the award. Disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. No bidder may withdraw their bid after the hour set for the opening thereof or before the award of contract, unless the award is delayed for more than sixty days. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document The engineer’s range for the project is $900,000 to $1,200,000.
