The City of Tallahassee invites licensed contractors for the roof replacement at the Senior Center, located at 1400 N Monroe Street, Tallahassee, Florida 32303. The project scope encompasses the cleaning and patching of the existing mineral surface low slope roofing system, removing the parapet wall base flashing, fully adhering to a high solar reflectance index (SRI), 80 mil polyvinyl chloride (PVC) fleece backed cap sheet roofing and 60 mil PVC flashing membrane system per the roofing manufacturer's requirements. The Contractor must comply with the current Florida Building Code (FBC) and the roofing manufacturer's recommendations to provide a roofing manufacturer's 20-year NDL system warranty. The project also includes installing new prefinished aluminum parapet coping with sealed joint caps over the existing stone coping cap and installing new PVC clad scuppers. Additionally, the existing damaged skylight(s) on the Annex portion of the building will be replaced to match the existing skylight(s). Furthermore, the Contractor will verify the location of the new HVAC equipment roof access hatch into the attic space below with the owner and engineer. Carefully cut and remove the existing roof system, structural wood decking, and joist, install additional reinforcement framing and supports, install new roof curb and large HVAC equipment roof access hatch.
