DESCRIPTION A. Site Investigation: 1. Contractor shall examine the site and shall be responsible for verifying existing construction and conditions. Any failure by the Contractor to acquaint themselves with all the available information concerning existing conditions will not relieve them from responsibility of properly estimating the difficulty or cost of successfully performing the work. No extra payment will be considered for work additional to that shown or noted, if such work would have been apparent in an inspection of the premises, provided in project documents and / or part of typical work required to achieved the general work prescribed. 2. Project consists of complete tear-off and re-roof of low-slope concrete deck 2-story Building inside the campus at the historic Stewart Indian School campus. Note that this specific building is not historic, it is a modern concrete and steel office-type building. All edge metal, gravel stops, flashings, penetrations,copings and related components are to be replaced. New rigid foam insulation, barrier/ protection boar is to be installed and mechanically-adhered, and any damaged substrates are to be replaced or repaired as encountered. All demolition materials are required to trucked out and disposed of properly. New memebrane roofing, protection board and insulation to be applied per Manufacturer's (SIKA) requirements and instructions in all facets.GENERAL REQUIREMENTS A. This section is for the convenience of the Contractor only and shall not be construed as a complete accounting of all work to be performed. B. The extent of the Scope of Work is indicated on the drawings and by the requirements of each section of the specifications. C. Refer to additional notes on the roof plan drawing. D. Requirements stated in the General and Supplementary conditions of these Specifications and Drawings apply to all the work in this Section. E. Provide the labor, materials, equipment, services, administrative support, facilities, and expertise required to perform the prescribed work so that no leakage into the roof system and/or building occurs. 1. Properly staff the project with crew of sufficient size to complete the work within the contract scheduled time. If production rates do not meet the schedule, Contractor will adjust their crew size to maintain and meet the schedule at no additional cost to the Owner
