Sealed bids are requested for the 2026 Renovations at Orland Junior High School project. Early construction access will be limited to Fine Arts 129 and Orchestra 153 (with exterior door access) from May 4, 2026, to June 9, 2026, and only these areas may undergo construction activities during this period. Temporary partitions/seals must be provided to prevent debris from entering the school interior. The remainder of the school will be available for construction starting June 9, 2026. Lump sum bids are required. Bid security of 10 percent of the base bid must be submitted with the bid. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed appropriately. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive irregularities and to make the award in its best interest. Compliance with Illinois prevailing wage laws and statutory labor requirements, including Equal Employment Opportunity Laws, is required. Bidding documents are available upon deposit or digital access fee from the listed reprographics company. Question Deadline 01/23/2026 Submit all questions regarding the Bidding Documents to the Architect. Replies will be issued to all bidders of record in the form of an Addendum. Questions received less than five days before the bid opening date cannot be answered. The Project consists of the interior renovation of the existing school building. Work includes new architectural ceiling, flooring and wall finishes and casework, lighting and power upgrades and mechanical distribution modifications.
