Assist with the overall management and coordination of construction activities including establishing communication protocols between the City, contractor, Utilities, and other stakeholders and conduct regular progress meetings and prepare meeting minutes. 2. Prepare Project Documentation in accordance with the Caltrans requirements. 3. Manage Request For Information (RFI)'s and submittals,. 4. Assist in coordination and scheduling of utility work. Support the City and the contractor in resolving utility issues in a timely manner. Track utility relocation progress and identify potential conflicts. 5. Assist in coordination and scheduling of railroad work including the relocation of the tracks and the cutover of rail service. Ensure submittals, flagging requests, work windows, and safety protocols meet railroad requirements. 6. Assist in the coordination of contractor's work to minimize impacts to businesses and residents. 7. Manage the review and approval of falsework calculations and shop drawings. 8. Manage Contract Change Orders and Notices of Potential Claim. 9. Perform inspection of contractor's work for compliance with contract documents. Document contractors daily operations. 10. Manage change order requests 11. Ensure the contractor adheres to safety practices and complies with applicable laws and regulations. 12. Monitor contractor's compliance with environmental mitigation measures, permits, including noise, dust and biological resource requirements and the contracts' Water Pollution Control requirements, Provide material testing and quality control that conforms to the Caltrans Construction Manual and Materials Testing Manual. All materials testing shall be performed by Caltrans certified testers. The selected Company will provide qualified engineering personnel including Resident Engineer, Office Engineer, and Structures Representative to perform a wide variety of construction contract administration, construction engineering and inspection in accordance with City policies, Caltrans Construction Manual, and other applicable requirements and regulations. A City employee will be assigned to oversee the activities of the selected Company and to provide direction when needed. The selected Company shall provide the services required in Exhibit A, Scope of Services, attached hereto and incorporated herein.
