Installation of approximately 4,100 linear feet of 12-inch water line by open-cut methods in the road right-of-way along Ransdell Road, and Donny Brook Road to Lake Wheeler Road. The project will connect to the recently installed 12-inch waterline on Ransdell Road on the south end and tap into the existing 12-inch waterline in Lake Wheeler Road at the north end. The project also includes a trenchless installation across Ransdell Road and an air release manhole. Question Deadline 01/21/2026 at 5:00 PM ET All questions should be submitting in writing to purchasing@fuquay-varina.org and will be addressed via an addendum. Final addendum will be posted to the Town website by 5:00 pm on Wednesday, Jan 26, 2026. The envelope shall also be marked with the Bidder's name, address, North Carolina contractor license number, and name and phone number of a contact person. If forwarded by mail, the sealed envelope containing the bid must be enclosed in another envelope addressed to the Owner, Town of FuquayVarina, c/o Procurement Division The Contractors submitting a bid for this project must possess the proper license classification and limitation to perform the Work elements contained in the specifications in accordance with North Carolina General Statutes; and if selected, provide a copy of their active license to the Owner. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. All bidders must, at minimum, make a good faith effort to comply with HUB requirements. The bidder must include with the bid the form Identification of Minority Business Participation identifying the minority business participation it will use on the project and must include either Affidavit A or Affidavit B as applicable. Forms are included within this contract. Failure to complete these forms is grounds for rejection of the bid. (GS143-128.2c Effective 1/1/2002.). There is no participation goal for this project. The OWNER reserves the right to waive any informalities or minor defects or to reject any and all bids.
