Bids are invited for approximately 3200 linear feet of 4-6" water line replacement along Westminster Road. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to City of Tehuacana or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. Not less than the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate, as issued by the Texas Department of Agriculture Office of Rural Affairs and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. The successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual identity, gender identity, or national origin. All contractors and subcontractors must be cleared (not suspended or debarred) prior to any formal action authorizing the award of a contract to the contractor. Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises, Women Business Enterprises, Veteran-Owned Businesses, and Section 3 Businesses are encouraged to submit bids. This solicitation is for services related to a project that is subject to the Build America, Buy America Act (BABA) requirements under Title IX of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. Absent an approved waiver, all iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials used in this project must be produced in the United States. Tehuacana reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by Tehuacana for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award.
