PROJECT No. P972-05A Bidders are encouraged to visit the site and assess existing conditions. Work consists of the removal and reconstruction of the roadway for the Cul-De-Sac on Carmen Ave, Zapata Ave, and Balboa Ave. The project includes the installation of a 2-foot header curb, approximately 240 linear feet of 18-inch RCP, two Type 'C' inlets, and two manhole junction boxes. Competitive sealed proposals are requested. A 5% bid bond of the total bid, including alternates or cash allowances, must accompany each proposal. Failure to provide the bid bond will result in a non-responsive proposal. The successful bidder must supply 100% performance and payment bonds. Failure to provide these bonds will result in forfeiture of the 5% bond as liquidated damages. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days. Bidders are encouraged to visit the site and assess existing conditions. QUESTIONS AND INTERPRETATIONS A. Bidder is required to study Bid Documents, the site, and conditions affecting the Work, and submit written questions on interpretation of those documents and conditions, or other factors affecting the Work, to the Engineer. B. Written questions may be submitted by facsimile addressed to the Engineer. All facsimile communications shall be confirmed by mailing the original correspondence to the office of the Engineer. C. Immediately notify the Engineer upon finding discrepancies or omissions in the Bid Documents No oral interpretations will be made to any bidder.
