The work generally consists of mowing and property maintenance of 48 sites on the west side of Batavia. All work must comply with the specifications set forth in the contract documents, plans, and applicable state and local regulations. Bidders must submit the completed contract documents, any supplemental addenda provided by the owner, and use the bid proposal, bid schedule, bid conditions, and bid form from the bidding documents. A bid guarantee of five percent (5%) of the year one bid amount is required. Bidders must submit a written statement verifying their ability to commence work within the specified timeframe, and provide references and examples of similar projects completed in the past five years. The successful bidder must sign the contract, provide a performance bond or letter of credit equal to one hundred ten percent (110%) of the annual contract amount, and submit required certificates of insurance within fifteen (15) calendar days after contract award. The owner reserves the right to accept the lowest responsible bid, reject any or all bids, or advertise for new bids, and may defer acceptance for up to sixty (60) days after the bid opening. Bidders should be aware of requirements including 5% bid security, 110% performance security, and compliance with applicable OSHA and EPA requirements.
