Renovation of a multi-residential development in Greensboro, North Carolina. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
The project involves the Moore Strong Plumbing Renovation at UNC Greensboro. The Moore Strong residence hall, constructed in 1961, will have its aging plumbing fixtures and supporting infrastructure replaced with modern, accessible, and code-compliant materials and systems. The work includes removal and replacement of sinks in all student rooms, modernization of plumbing in all common multi-fixture, high-density washrooms, and common kitchen areas. The project will also upgrade existing electrical heaters in the large multi-fixture rooms and create at least one new single-use shower facility in each building wing. The current authorization is for Advanced Planning only, with the potential for retention through full design and construction at the university's option. Responses must be submitted as one electronic (PDF) copy in the following format: - Tab 1: Completed Information Sheet (include primary contact name and email) - Tab 2: Letter of Interest (Cover Letter) - Tab 3: Project Team Organization Chart (adequate staff and relevant experience) - Tab 4: Relevant Experience & Other Important Factors (expertise, previous similar projects, workload, proposed design approach, cost/schedule experience, construction administration, proximity/familiarity, project completion record, energy conservation/LEED experience) - Tab 5: Minority Business Participation Plan (efforts to reach UNCG HUB goals) - Tab 6: Current SF-330 (attachment, not supplement) Failure to follow directions or contacting anyone not listed may render the submission non-responsive. Responses should not exceed 40 pages at 8.5 x 11 or 20 spreads at 11 x 17, excluding SF-330 form and blank pages. The proposal (Tabs 1-5) will be reviewed for qualifications; the SF-330 serves only as an attachment and will not be formally reviewed in detail as Tabs 1-5.
