The City of Osage City is soliciting mowing bids for the Airport, the 9th Street Cemetery, and the South end of the Golf Course. All three properties are to be mowed as one unit, with a maximum of 20 mows per growing season from April 1, 2026 to October 31, 2026. Bids may also be submitted for a second and third mowing season if desired. The contractor will provide all equipment, tools, and supplies to maintain an even and pleasant appearance throughout the growing season. Each mowing must include picking up all litter beforehand, and trimming around utility poles, fences, buildings, trees, and other objects on the property. Special care should be taken to avoid scalping grass or trimming too short, with a final grass height between 3 ½” to 4”. The contractor shall reseed any areas cut too close or damaged. All mowing or trimming damage and vandalism must be reported to the City of Osage City as soon as possible. Commercial General Liability Insurance in the amount of $1,000,000 is required. The frequency of mowing and trimming will vary with weather conditions. Questions regarding mowing, trimming, or property lines should be directed to the Assistant Parks and Facilities Superintendent. Sealed bids must be submitted to the City Clerk or by email by the specified deadline. The City of Osage City reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
