This is a service / maintenance or supply contract in Osage City, Kansas. Contact the soliciting agency for additional information.

The City of Osage City is soliciting bids for the landscaping and upkeep of the Flint Hills Walking Trail from Martin Street to 5th Street and from 9th Street to 17th Street. A maximum number of 20 mowing times will be required during the growing season from April 1, 2025 through October 31, 2025. Bids may be submitted for a second and third mowing season if desired by the mowing contractor. The mowing contractor will provide all equipment, tools, and supplies to present an even and pleasant appearance throughout the growing season. Work to be completed will be initial landscaping of flower beds at intersections, as well as maintaining the flower beds throughout the growing season. Mowing, spraying, and trimming the walking trail will also be required throughout the growing season. In addition, the contractor will also need to close out the growing season by preparing landscaping at intersections for winter. Each mowing shall include the picking up of all litter prior to each mowing. Each mowing includes trimming around poles, trees, and flower beds. Special Emphasis shall be made to prevent scalping of the grass from sharp turns of the mowing equipment or trimming too short. Final grass height should be between 3 1/2" to 4" with the mowing contractor to reseed any areas cut too close or burned by equipment. The mowing contractor will report all damage caused by mowing and trimming, plus any vandalism to the City of Osage City as soon as possible. Commercial Liability Insurance in the amount of $1,000,000 is required. The grass will need to be mowed and trimmed more often during cooler and wetter weather. When temperatures are extremely high the grass may not need mowing for several weeks. Any questions on mowing, trimming, or property lines to prepare your bid should be directed to Assistant Parks and Facilities Superintendent Donnie Bailey at 785-817-8651. The City of Osage City has the right to reject any and all bids.
